Make a uTorrent for Linux
A uTorrent for Linux would be very nice.
We’ve now released a headless Linux client!
We’re still working on the GUI, but if you’re looking for a version to run on your server, check out http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/linux

Do your best, take your time and give linux the best torrent client there is!!!
P.S. When you do finally make it, please consider making a version
for the ARM architecture!!! Our choices are very limited... -

Please make the linux version compatible with linux driven nas's like synology devices. The built-in BT clients on these devices are awful.

utorrent is a nice app with all the comfort needed to share files, but win2lin is right. The Prop-Devs are seeming to be afraid of bashers and GNUs. Sadly enough nvidia & etc. are not giving any source to the honest Linuxdevs, so there's a very unnecessary loss of performance. But luckily there are solutions like Torrentflux that can run on a Maxdome set top box 8D

"Only noobs would use proprietary software on gnu/linux."
The fact that you said "GNU/Linux" is quite telling.
A reason for not open sourcing uTorrent was already explained before. Relax. A proprietary uTorrent on Linux is not going to take away your freedoms. If we Linux users would stop being such a-holes about open sourcing THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE, maybe we'd get more respect and support from software developers.

No, sometimes you HAVE to use prop software. Either because its all thats available or its just better. For example, I have the Sun Java JDE installed, because OpenJDK just doesn't cut it, the same with Dropbox over Ubuntu Sync. -

@puzzler995,
I know what I'm talking about and I'm sorry to disappoint you, I like Blender too and I like it's Node-Based compositing interface very much but it's no way near Maya, thumbs up for the great efforts of Blender Developers and the use of Yay-Ray is somehow realistic to an extent and competing but never like VRay+Maya for an instance, I know you're going to say VRay is now compatible with Blender too, but how about the Fur, the Rain extension and the tens of the unbelievable plugins and tools for Maya!?Blender game engine worths to be mentioned as well but Maya is more powerful for game developers or even 3DMAX that runs on non-linux platforms only!!!???
As I said I'm a FOSS man but I'm realistic at the same time, Maya is more than just a 3D Modeling tool, but a Compositor especially with the new implementation of Toxik now bundled with very powerful Physics and stunning fluid and fire control with lots of compatible renderers as well, the plugins make life easier and Blender is way back for now but we should stick to it and support it as it's very promising being developed by volunteers who reached this praised level with self-motivation.
And even for proprietary tools we distinguish what we should use for different tasks, we've got Houdini VS Maya and each one has it's field in the 3D world, we've got NukeX vs Eyeon Fusion for compositing & VFX and even Apple Shake or Autodesk Toxik, for motion Tracking we can use Nuke's Plugins or Boujou or Mocha...etc so saying this is better than that is not underestimating it but rather classifying it against something specific.
So, once again, I support FOSS + what makes my life easier, very practical and logical thinking I guess.
That's why we should have an Alpha uTorrent release by tomorrow :)

Wow awesome news! I have never used uTorrent but there is nothing wrong with expanding the choice of software on Ubuntu.

You don't know what you are talking about. AutoDesk Maya has a major FOSS competitor. Blender 3D is just as powerful as Maya, possibly even stronger -
