How can we improve µTorrent Server?

Make a uTorrent for Linux

To utorrent team, please don't suggest me to use Wine to run the program on Linux. You know that Wine is an EMULATOR, and I need the program to run on Linux NATIVELY. If you guys can port it to Mac, I'm sure it won't be difficult to port it to Linux.

I'm really rather surprised utorrent hasn't been made Linux native already. This would get all my votes if I could give them.

Don't actually see the need for this. uT runs in Wine just fine (pun unintended).

We all know that Linux has a large fan base that would involve themselves in this forum/poll of ideas, i'm one of them. utorrent has its routes in a native windows application, for the mac they are building using cocoa. Both don't port to Linux very well.

It would be more worth while pleading for more cross platform development rather than utorrent team mange three different code bases. How ever this is suggested to be done, it is a lot of work for the developers. Everyone who is shouting "love Linux" needs to give more insightful help to developers. Converting the mac code to POSIX would cover both mac and Linux, and also utorrent team still only have to maintain 2 code bases.

Linux is the future, to be free and thus have greater acceptance in the globalized world of programmers.

I'd love a native muTorrent, I also use it on windows and the usability is just great

If they wont publish a uTorrent client for Linux, may I suggest - libtorrent or rtorrent? Great project to look at if you've got a good bandwith to upload.
Anyone got much experience using it?
