michel kollenhoven, there is a number of routers with sufficient CPU power to successfully run transmission or rtorrent. I just don't think utorrent-server would be much more resource demanding.
Although, as transmission runs fine, we don't really need utorrent on OpenWrt. -

Community could make corresponding patches to successfully cross-compile uTorrent Server with OpenWRT buildroot for MIPS and all other architectures supported by *WRT. Releasing and officially supporting MIPS by original developers is absolutely not required.
If only we had the sources, obviously.

We have no plans to release a non-x86 version.
