I propose µtorrent keep a simplified log of past download/upload data and a date breakdown.

It's not uncommon to be in a situation where the end user doesn't have any sort of hard data cap, but would like to retain information about their download history.

To facilitate this, µtorrent would need to keep a history of download/upload for each torrent (by name, or hash) used over a particular timeframe. Users should be able to view total data transfer for a given day from the log, and further view a breakdown per torrent.

After reinstall windows or movig files to bigger hdd or simply in another director. I have to do too much operations. This could be simplified by using torrents group change location.

when i do calculations of how much i can download/upload amonth i come out with a decimal number. and i would like to download/upload 1.5GB in 1 day. this means i dont have to calculate everyday the Maximum/minimum speed i need over a certain time to get the limit.

The pieces column under files tab of torrent resizes tiny, no doubt because it's a special case i.e. doesn't contain text to resize for. Would be good if you could add a handler to only resize it to something in particular automatically when double clicking the resize handle.

It would be great to stream from uTorrent from other devices on the LAN, and specifically from a Mac/Linux host OS when running torrent in a Windows Guest OS in Parallels/VMWare/VirtualBox.

A first step would be to allow us to set the prefix it uses rather than localhost. That way we can set it to something the other devices can use.

A 2nd step would be a simple web page so we can open a browser from the other device and select the stream from there.

Improve rating system with (for example) thumb up / thumb down for each comment
and a spam button for the community, to delete the many, many useless/rude comments.

I think the user should be able to define an alternate download directory. Where the files download TEMPORARILY if the primary directory becomes full or goes offline.

NAS/Personal Cloud storage is becoming more and more important, but its not always available...

the files should be automatically transferred to the primary directory if/when it becomes available.

It would also be cool if possible; for this folder to download the rest of in-progress downloads for syncing once the primary directory becomes available

The way it is for labels and RSS. Would be easier to have the current list of trackers to our torrents and the ability to filter torrents by tracker just selecting the tracker, the way it is in ruTorrent.

In the Files tab:
Black text for Normal
Gray for Skip
Two other colors (user configurable?) for High and Low

Why - In a large torrent containing many albums, this would make it much easier to see which files have been marked as what priority.

The ability to customize the order of the tabs in the lower pane would be great.

Whenever a new session of Windows is opened for the same user, uTorrent is set to autostart, but it already is running within the other session. So if it could check for running session on same user account, and not open if found.

Predict the save folder destination, according to the torrent name and previously selected folders

To better and quick setup, put detailed descriptions in the preferences explaining what each thing does...

It would be awesome if you could choose a background picture in utorrent, instead of this dull- white-windows explorer like- thing

Use a QR generator from a destop computer (maybe one you can host) to create a code scannable from the app, maybe even from Goggles by association of the magnet:// protocol.

Let us individually add or remove any of the toolbar buttons (and search box), and maybe even completely hide the whole bar.
