Whatever happened to this? I see the last official thread on the 64-bit version was closed earlier this month and the test release is no longer supported. Is making a 64-bit version still somewhere on the roadmap? if not, should this idea entry be 'de-completed'?

I run W7 64bit with 2,4GHz QuadCore processor, 8GB RAM, about 10TB of HD space avalible, 100Mbit/s Download and 50Mbit/s Upload. The only "downside" is that my drives can't keep up with my bandwidth. I recently discovered that I could change the cache from being automatic to being a fixed one, so I try to set it to 5GB, but the limit is 1800MB :(
I understand that this is due to that my µTorrent is 32bit and that it can't access more RAM. Thanks to our lovely developers we can now try a 64-bit version of µTorrent ( http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=93984 ) it is still Alpha and it crashes on me all the time, but I like how the evolution of µTorrent is proceeding.
I have one request: Try putting this in the normal version of µTorrent or possible the Beta when you think you got it stable enough. I'll have to go with the standard Beta for now, since I can't make the Alpha run more then 10 minutes before crashing unfortunately.
Thank you all for your effort of trying to improve our experience even more!
        Good luck and happy developing!
        I love you all!

"We're already working on making it work in 64-bit mode, but it'll be a while before we actually finish the job."

        Cheers!

I hope a build is out by 2011 when Win8 beta goes "public". ;)

Better to developer 64bit during a time Microsoft is actively requesting feedback.

i hope 2.2.1 or 3.0 will be x64, been waiting for this for a long time now... (a beta/alpha should be released to the forums so we could test and report back about possible problems)

What an outstanding proposal Firon. I cannot wait until you can get this up and running. Thank you so much for coming up this idea.

on newers versions... upload a 10 Ks/sec min. This feature could bittorrent downloads more faster. Other feature: Hide IP or protocol ofuscation (like eMule, for example).
