This needs to get done. Many people abuse torrenting for illegal purposes, but this is not a good enough reason to allow government control or censorship of torrenting. When it comes to civil disobedience, anonymity is crucial to insure a person or movement isn't persecuted unlawfully or squelched because they threaten the status quo of the system they are fighting against.

This is a must if torrenting is to survive from censorship and goverment control.

I'm in support for this feature! However, I think to eliminate problems, this should be OFF by default, and able to be toggled in the preferences panel.

Its pretty obvious after 2 and a half years Utorrent is a corporate suit now for Bittorrent Inc. so much for actually adding things to make your software better. Now they just push paid subscriptions and add in useless apps instead of innovate torrent streams by adding in things like this.

This is a great idea and one that doesn't seem to be too complicated to achieve. if it works as it is advertised it will be one of the greatest advancement in utorrent technology. at least please inform us of where you stand on this. cheers!

Unless there is some better anonymity option, this seems like a no-brainer for Utorrent.

Ok. I actually went thru about 14 pages and I see a few reoccurring points- seems you have users that know what they are doing, arent afraid, and don't want this (they want privacy, everyone wants that but it seems like they understand that if you don't take your own steps sometimes there are consequences. Which SUX, but it is what it is in this capitalist/consuming world).
Then there are people that may or may not have the same knowledge base, no shame in that either, that just want uT or someone else to do it for them... but don't want to pay for it. These people probably don't seed or share either.
I get it- we want free, we believe in free, that's why we are here- but hey, don't take advantage of "free" and then bitch about a letter or uT not doing their jobs because they are. This would take a phenomenal amount of hard work all to still not make everyone happy.

UT makes it as safe as they can, further than that we should all educate and protect ourselves.
