I suggest you ...

have built in one-click "move data files" and "move .torrent files" functionality

Vuze has this functionality and while I don't use Vuze for torrenting, I will sometimes boot it up just to use these features. They save tons of time.

Yes, managing files kinda sucks in µTorrent right now. We’ll try to get this done for 2.2 as well to make it easier. Set download location will probably be renamed and will move the content for you, all in one step.

Oh, and we’ll make ‘Relocate’ on the Files tab work the same way.

PLEASE, please please please get this working. Moving thousands of torrents across the network is tedious enough as is. I don't want to have to reselect download location for each one. I've been waiting for this feature for years. Any update on the status? 3.2.4 please?

How come this idea is still not implemented in utorrent after 2+ years. As its a pain that if i select a bunch of files and move the data to a different area. You still have to select were each and every torrent goes. I recently had to do this with over 200 files and I was really frustrated that the other programs have it but yours does not. And I like utorrent the most especially now, only thing lacking is still the file management in the program is severally lacking in this aspect.

Dear developers I have more then 1600 torrents sorted by 20-30 different labels & I cant normally manage them. Its terribly(((
        Please add SUBJ functionality...

Will be great if i don't need to:
        - Select needed torrents (10,30,50. or more...)
        - Click on "Download in..." and those folder what I need 10,30,50 or more times :)

Not sure if this would be the right place, but its sort of an addon to this. It would be nice to have this in command line format so that you could rename and the move the file so you only have one file on your system, named the way you want, and organized where you want it but it would continue seeding.

Seriously considering moving to another client for this specific feature.

This is currently not implemented, if the developers think it is. Current method (Advanced > Set Download Location) is about a 15-click process for folders filled with files, if you want the directory structure to be preserved.

i been using utorrent for years and i still would like to be able to seed files after i have downloaded and transferred to another drive there just doesn't seem to be a way.

I give up, been waiting for this feature for way too long (years). Going to try other BT clients.

this is pretty much the same feature request as "download folders" above.
It will be a lot easier to keep thins tidy when it arrives, I have been struggling for years. It needs to be able to move multiple torrents at the same time - these could then be selected by label, tracker etc; keeping everyone happy. The planned status is promising :)

I'll come back to Vuze. This simple and MUST HAVE feature is essential for people with a lot of files. Not implemented on 2.x & 3.x utorrent :(

I would like to see uTorrent utilize Alternate Data Streams as an option for saving .torrent files.
        Example:
When downloading a torrent containing multiple files, the files are saved within the directory. When the download is complete, the .torrent is appended to the directory (or file if it is a single file torrent) as an alternate data steam.

Using this method, the .torrent files transparently move with the data (as long as the data stays on an NTFS file system). uTorrent could then be pointed to a directory containing torrent data, and the .torrent files would be located by looking at the AltDS of the sub-directories (or individual files)

Lol, I just dump all the torrent data into my 'C:\Torrents' folder. And I permanently delete the torrent+data once I'm done using the torrent contents. Not sure what the problem with my way is, but I guess I'm not a fan of organizing torrents into any form of categories.

To each, his way. A move feature could be nice and useful, and can be added just below the "Advanced > Set Download Location" as "Advanced > Move to New Location"

i agree with some of the other posts, would be nice if we could mass move multiple torrent files at the same time to a designated folder. trying to move 500 torrents at the same time is very inconvenient.

well, the better thing would be , allow the partially downloaded files to be downloaded from another machine (computer), which has been a real need from quite a long time.

To explain: i would like to download for an hour on one computer and then transfer it to another for the rest of it...

Unfortunately, you now have to navigate to the new destination one torrent at a time. I regularly move 10 or so torrents, which currently takes a LOT of time ;(

        Please fix.
