I suggest you ...

Automatic Labels (based on keywords)

Using "labels" detect pre-entered keywords to automaticly apply the label coresponding.

this way when downloading series on weekley basis torrents would set their own label automaticly!

Transmission has this feature and before switching to uTorrent I found it very useful. It can auto-label("group" they called it) based on tracker, name, etc etc. Would love that feature in Mac version too!!

great idea, and i believe it will not take much work to make it happen

Ill vote. But only assuming you could use torrent URL instead of keywords.

What about extending this from just managing labels to a generic rule system.
See post: System for user-defined "Custom Rules"

Another 3 votes auto labeling and filing. But I'm still waiting for just the ability to MANUALLY create different directories based on content-type or whatever I want. I don't feel I have a right to complain about a feature missing from UTorrent, since it is otherwise awesome, fast, light-weight, reliable, and--oh, yeah--free. It's not that difficult to implement the file placement and moving features so many of us freeload would really really appreciate. Pretty please with cherry on top, please....

This is why i used to use Vuze. My life was so much easier using regex to categorize and sort my torrents. Please please please implement this.

Being able to label torrents based on tracker would save me many hours of searching through to find torrents manually to make changes. A big +3 from me.

ya applying labels on the basis of file content , trackers ,torrent name and size

        This idea makes me horny.
i hate vuze so much, but i have to use it because its the only torrent program that can auto lable and categorize my torrents.
Please dont make me use vuze!!
Its fat and bloated and it smells funny

I agree with ACy auto based on tracker would be too useful
        also based on file type
        e.g. .mp3 - music .avi movie

Wouldn't mind this even though most of my downloads are through RSS feeds, so auto-labeling for me works in a sense.

Although if multiple labels were allowed I guess the need for this would increase.

all valid points! its so nice to see other people agree! Gmail style of labeling is precisley what i had in mind!

      • KewkoKewko commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

I have about 30 labels and downloading dozen of torrents every day I can't even ephasize how auto labeling based on rules would help me!

      • valc93valc93 commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

I was thinking more like gmail-filtering:
to be able to add filters like in gmail where after fulfilling specific criteria it adds the torrent to a certain label.
        Exmaple:
has the words: Bleach, apply the label: Anime

Second this, though I'd want this for trackers.
For example tracker.empornium.us would always be labeled as "Porn" after I set utorrent to do so.
