        Make sure this is an option, as there are legitimate reasons for private IPs to be proxied AND there are legitimate reasons for private IPs not to be proxied.

        Dear Joakim,

        Point of view number one: if you don't use proxy for p2p, probably you don't need this feature.

        Point of view number two: Explaining anyway better :) Private IP ranges are that you have in LAN (at home, at work, in gamers club, etc). They are PRIVATE. Most of cases access to them is fast and traffic considered free. That's why there is no need to use proxy to access those IPs.

        If internet access made only through proxy, you have no choice: you must turn on proxy setting in uTorrent to access World. But thereby proxy will be used for World and LAN at the same time!

        First problem is unnecessary proxy overload. Second problen derived from first one: proxy administrators have to deny access to LAN through proxy to disallow redundant traffic that can be directed straightly to target computers in same LAN. Second problem makes usage of local and world torrents at the same time very inconvenient: user must turn proxy on to access world and turn off to access LAN peers and trackers. There is no option in uTorrent not to use proxy for custom/private ranges.

        And what if someone _must_ use proxy to connect to every IP-address, including private ranges?

        10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/19, 192.168.0.0/16 (hardcoded)

        let user to define exclusion list (better).

        It's a very good idea! Really need such a function, so as not to overload the proxy server for local cores, or so that traffic does not go through a proxy, but directly from client to client (p2p)
